Liu Jing: Female; born in November 1974; Member of the Communist Party of China; Master of Laws. She is a Senior Judge (Third Grade), a key adjudication professional of the Shanghai Courts, and has been recognized as an Advanced Individual in Guiding Mediation in Shanghai. She has received Third-Class Merit. Since 2002, she has been engaged in intellectual property and commercial adjudication.
Cases she presided over were selected for two consecutive years as the national courts’ “Top 100 Outstanding Court Hearings,” and two cases she presided over were published in the Gazette of the Supreme People’s Court. The first-ever nationwide case involving the bankruptcy reorganization of a privately owned listed company due to corporate bond default, over which she presided, was selected as one of the Top 10 Typical Cases on Enterprise Bankruptcy Reorganization and Liquidation.
A judgment she authored won the Second Prize in the national courts’ Outstanding Judgments in technical intellectual property cases. Multiple cases she handled were selected as Outstanding Cases of Shanghai Courts. A research project she participated in won the Excellent Prize in the Shanghai Courts’ Key Research Tender Projects. The innovative “Three-Coordination” mechanism was recognized among the Top 10 Typical Experiences and Cases in Intellectual Property Multi-Dispute Resolution, jointly selected by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Supreme People’s Court.
She has published multiple research papers and was invited to speak at the International Conference of Intellectual Property Courts (2016).
