On the morning of April 30, a symposium themed as "Bringing Together the Power of Youth to Realize the Ideal of Fulfilling Rule of Law" was held in Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Intellectual Property Right Court and Railway Transport Intermediate Court) for young police officers. Mr. Wu Xielin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the court, was present to deliver a speech. Young police officers under the age of 35 in the court attended the symposium presided over by Ms. Wang Renyan, Director of the Political Department. At the symposium, the young police officers spoke freely of their ideal of fulfilling rule of law by taking their work duties as the basis and made it clear that they would set Comrade Zou Bihua as an example to stick to their ideal and convictions, dedicate themselves to the construction of rule of law, adhere to the post-based self-fulfillment and exude youthful vigor. Meanwhile everyone shared opinions and expressed their perplexities on such issues as the correlations between the specified judge number policy in the judicial reform and the growth of young police officers, duty orientation of assistants to judges, and the learning and training opportunities for young police officers. They also proposed suggestions for issues of information construction, culture building and management of the court. The atmosphere was lit up by the genuine, real opinions and advice put forward by the young attendants. Mr. Wu Xielin gave earnest responses to the problems and suggestions from the attendants and sent to the young police officers three points of expectations. The first one was to inspire youthful dreams and pilot youth with ideal of fulfilling rule of law. The ideal of young police officers should keep abreast with the times and come in line with the requirements of the country. The dreams of young people should be aligned with the ideal of fulfilling rule of law so that one's own youthful dreams might be realized along with his/her self-fulfillment in a more noble sense in the construction of a country governed by law. As everybody's realization of youthful dreams would contribute to the great cause of construction of rule of law across the country, they should obtain a social status with their stellar performance on the post and treat their job as a lifelong career. The second point was to bring together the power of youth and inspire youthful vitality for the great cause of reform. The young police officers should see the opportunities and space for development brought by the judicial reform to young people and meanwhile bear a sense of conviction, determination, responsibility and duty towards the reform. As to the reform, they should have a correct understanding, take an active part in it, participate in the cause enthusiastically and treat it from a long-term perspective to acquire themselves more brilliantly on the stage of reform. Also they should become practitioners, witnesses, participants of the reform and benefit from it by embracing it with vibrant youth.The third point was to play the movement of youth and display the vigor. After the three courts were combined into one, the new court would need the active participation of young police officers in its integration and development. The court called for the young generation to exert a driving force for it to proceed forward. Young officers should be easily united to act as a team and build an interaction platform. They should learn from the example of Mr. Zou Bihua, display a positive mental outlook in their sound capability of learning, boldness to act, courage to innovate and willingness to devote themselves. They were expected to demonstrate their motivation of constantly striving ahead, with a focus on implementation, innovation and competition, in every work they do to write a new chapter of history and grace it with glory.
