President Wu Xielin Met a Delegation Led by Ms Cai Huiru, Presiding Judge of Taiwan Intellectual Property Right Court

 

On May 27, a delegation of 3 led by Ms Cai Huiru, Presiding Judge of Taiwan Intellectual Property Right Court, visited Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, received by President Wu Xielin and Vice President Li Shulan, who had a seminar with them. Presiding Judge Cai Huiru and her delegation visited the Litigation Services Center, courtrooms and other facilities, and attended an ongoing trial of a patent infringement case. During the seminar, President Wu Xielin made a general introduction to the socioeconomic development in Shanghai, the application and authorization of patent, trade mark and other IP rights, as well as the establishment and development of Shanghai Intellectual Property Right Court. Vice President Li Shulan made an introduction to the operations of Shanghai IP Court since its establishment. Presiding Judge Cai Huiru gave an description of Taiwan IP Court’s organizational structure, staffing, case handling, duties of the technical investigator and assistant judge, etc. The two parties conducted further discussions and exchanges on the operations of the technical investigator system, the technical investigators’ sources, function positioning, case participation procedures, the submission of technical investigation report, etc.
