The Shanghai Intellectual Property Court was established as an intermediate court on Dec. 28, 2014 at No.988, Zhangheng Road, Pudong New Area. It has a No.1 Adjudication Division and a No.2 Adjudication Division at the moment; a technical investigation office will be set up in time. It shares with Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court in administrative management, Party affairs and personnel management, discipline inspection and supervision, enforcement, bailiff services and logistics support.
No.1 Division hears civil and administrative cases involving patent, copyright and monopoly. No.2 Division hears civil and administrative cases involving computer software, trademarks, unfair competition, integrated circuit layout design, new plant varieties and other IPR contracts.
Shanghai Intellectual Property Court supervises six IPR divisions respectively located at basic-level people’s courts of Pudong, Xuhui, Minhang, Huangpu, Yangpu and Putuo districts.
