On the afternoon of November 4, a research mission organized by Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) paid a visit to Shanghai Intellectual Property Court.
The mission was made up of the people in charge of intellectual property rights matters from 16 Japanese enterprises including Toshiba and Nikon. In the panel
discussion, Presiding Judge Chen Huizhen of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court made a detailed introduction to the guests about the establishment background,
constitution of the staff, case jurisdiction, target and orientation, work measures, judicial reform and other matters of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. The person
in charge of the JIPA research mission extended gratitude for the warm hospitality given by Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and also introduced the history,
members' information and main responsibilities of JIPA. Some members of the research mission made communications with Presiding Judge Chen Huizhen on such
interested issues as technical investigators.
