On the afternoon of July 6, a delegation of Korea Electricity Association (KEA) visited Shanghai Intellectual Property Court in the company of relevant personnel of Shanghai Patent & Trademark Law Office, LLC. According to the arrangement of leaders of the Court, Judge Liu Jing from No.2 Intellectual Property Tribunal，Judge Yang Fuyu and Jiang Guangrui from No.1 Intellectual Property Tribunal received the guests. 

Korea Electricity Association (KEA) is the most time-honored association with the largest scale in Korea. Founded in 1976, the association now has more than 800 member enterprises. The visitors this time comprise staff responsible for intellectual property affairs from 19 member enterprises including Samsung and LG. The delegation visited the litigation service center and the courtroom of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, and inquired about the application of informatization in the trial of intellectual property cases. In the following symposium, the delegation watched an English feature about the work of the Court made by the Court lately. Judge Liu Jing introduced the organizational structure, staff composition, jurisdiction, types of cases, development orientation, work mechanism, judicial reform, team building and judicial exchanges, etc. of the Court to the guests.

The enterprise representatives of KEA thanked Shanghai Intellectual Property Court for the warm reception and hospitality. Both parties also made further discussions on the appointment of technological investigators, jurisdiction of courts at different levels to intellectual property cases, participation of expert jurors in court hearing, determination of compensation amount, equal protection of intellectual property rights of foreign and Chinese parties, determination of the validity of arbitration agreement, determination of priority right in trademark infringement and the disclosure-dedication rule in patent cases, etc.
