On the afternoon of October 8, Yao Huanqing, Deputy Secretary General of Intellectual Property Law Association, and his delegation visited Shanghai Intellectual Property Court for investigating the building of intellectual property court and the trial of computer software-related cases. Chen Huizhen, Presiding Judge of No.2 IP Tribunal, Lu Fengyu, Judge of No.1 IP Tribunal, and relevant personnel participated in this investigation. By combining with the investigation, Presiding Judge Chen Huizhen introduced the trial works, judicial reform, etc. since the establishment of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, focusing on the initiatives of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court in serving the building of the technology and innovation center and the innovative and professional trial mechanism. In terms of the trial of computer software-related cases involved in the investigation, Presiding Judge Chen Huizhen introduced the quantities, types and characteristics of such cases tried by Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, and explained the main dispute focuses and trial difficulties of such cases in combination with the judicial practices. Deputy Secretary General Yao Huanqing expressed thanks for the warm reception of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. He also said that Intellectual Property Law Association had undertaken the special subject study on the building of intellectual property court and the specialization of trial, so the face-to-face communication with the practical workers of the court would help the association to practically understand the current situation and problems of the specialized court operation, so as to make some suggestions on the further development of intellectual property court from the perspective of a neutral third party. In addition, both parties also had in-depth discussion and communication on issues including the "three-in-one" system for the trial of intellectual property cases, the "four-in-one" technical fact investigation and identification system of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, the remote evidence collection and compensation of cases involving computer software.
