On the morning of October 14, Casper Freddie, Vice Consulate General of the Royal Danish Embassy in Shanghai, Lu Kai, commercial officer of the Royal Danish Embassy in Shanghai and Danish lawyer delegation of 25 people came to Shanghai Intellectual Property Court for investigation and exchange. According to the arrangement of the Court, Liu Junhua, Presiding Judge of No.2 IP Tribunal received the guests. The delegation visited the tribunal, the lawsuit service center, the mediation room and other places, and inquired in details about the trial procedure of IP cases, the development of high-tech tribunal and the working system of legal affairs volunteers. During the discussion and exchange, Presiding Judge Liu Junhua expressed warm welcome to the delegation, invited the delegation members to watch a feature show in English concerning the works of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, and introduced the establishment background, organization structure, scope of jurisdiction, personnel composition, trial of cases, etc. of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. Both parties further exchanged their opinions on the constitution of Chinese and Danish technical investigators, composition of collegiate bench for IP cases, procedures of patent examination, trademark squatting, the jurisdiction of Intellectual Property Courts in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and other issues. Vice Consulate General Casper Freddie thanked for our warm reception and exchanges, and said that the informatization development and overall level of judges of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court were very impressive. Presiding Judge Liu Junhua indicated that with the continuous development of economic and trade relations between the two countries, there would be more opportunities for mutual learning and exchange in the field of IPR protection.
