On November 8, as arranged by Shanghai High People’s Court for the inspection activity of “Visiting Courts”, 14 deputies to the National People’s Congress and deputies to Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress from delegations of Huangpu District, Qingpu District, Songjiang District and Putuo District visited Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court) for inspection. These deputies paid a visit to tribunals, File Reading Room, 12368 Platform, Lawsuit Service Center, Meditation Room, etc., and spoke highly of the moves for the convenience of the people such as filing list, lawsuit guide, availability of legal provisions for reading and so forth which were considered to reflect the Court’s idea of judicature for the people embodied by “transposition thinking” and “bringing convenience for the people”. Wang Qiuliang, Member of Party Leadership Group of Shanghai High People’s Court, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court) presided over the seminar. Mao Ronghua, Member of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of Shanghai High People’s Court, the leading group members of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court), heads of the relevant functional departments of Shanghai High People’s Court and heads of all departments of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court) attended the seminar. Participants watched a feature about the works of Shanghai courts. Vice President Mao Ronghua briefed on key works of all courts in Shanghai this year from the aspects of case handling & law enforcement, serving the overall situation and judicial reform, and introduced seven tasks to which all courts in Shanghai must attach emphasis in 2017. President Wang Qiuliang reported the reforms and development of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court) since its foundation and highlighted the Court’s duty performance and serving the overall situation focusing on “cross” and “profession”, innovative development and promotion of reform focusing on “feature” and improvement of influence and credibility focusing on “proficiency”. The deputies highly appreciated the works of the courts in Shanghai and Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court), considered such works innovative and effective, and put forward opinions and suggestions on such issues as implementation of judge responsibility system, alleviation of the contradictions between excessive cases and lack of personnel, strengthening protection of intellectual properties, upgrading the positioning of courts crossing administrative regions and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. Present Wang Qiuliang, Vice President Mao Ronghua and Vice President of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court Li Shulan answered the issues which the deputies were concerned about.
