On the afternoon of December 26, Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court held a symposium to mark the 2nd anniversary of their founding. Cui Yadong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of Shanghai High People's Court (SHPC), Wu Xielin, Director of the Legislative Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the first President of Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court, Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and Shanghai Railway Transport Intermediate Court are actually one identical institution under three different names), and Chen Yajuan, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of SHPC, attended the symposium and delivered a speech respectively. Presidents of four railway transport courts, persons-in-charge of relevant departments of SHPC, andTHE members of the Party Leadership Group, bureau-level cadres, all middle-level cadres, and representatives of retired cadres and of police officers of Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court attended the symposium. Ni Chunnan, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court, presided over the symposium. President Cui Yadong pointed out that the establishment of Shanghai No. 3Intermediate People's Court and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court was an important measurein the judicial system reform, whichhas significant influence in the history of development of rule of law.Over the past two years, Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court had made success in reform and innovation, serving the overall situation, impartial administration of law, team building and infrastructure construction. He stressed that the court should focus on the work in the following five aspects in follow-up work: first, continueadvancing judicial reform and being a pioneer in the judicial reform toproduce reproducible and referable experience; second, give full play to the function of trial and actively serve the national strategy and the overall situation in Shanghai, become a pioneer in impartial administration of law and make efforts to improve judicial credibility; third,insist on administration of law for the people, make every effort to solve the difficulties in execution of court judgments, to be a pioneer in resolving execution difficulties basically within two years andto play a positive role in building Shanghai into one of the regions with the optimal environment for execution; fourth, implement big data strategy to become a pioneer in the construction of digitalized courts and intelligent courts, strive to enhance the level of modernization and advance the building of modernized trial system & trial capability; fifth,insist on strengtheningParty discipline, and court and staff management rules and develop a high-quality talent teamto build itself into a gathering place and source of talent for the courtsin Shanghai. The participants watched aspecial feature on the 2nd anniversary ofestablishment of Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court and Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's CourtWang Qiuliang comprehensively reportedon the work achievements obtained over the past two years, his feeling and outlook for the court to the participants. Director Wu Xielin and Vice President Chen Yajuan affirmed in their speeches the achievements of Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People's Court and expressedtheir good wishes for its future development.
