On the afternoon of June 5, KEA delegation paid a visit to Shanghai Intellectual Property Court in the company of relevant personnel of Shanghai Patent & Trademark Law Office, LLC. As arranged by the court leaders, Vice Director Ling Songand Judge Hu Mi of No.1 Intellectual Property Tribunal and Judge Liu Jing of No.2 Intellectual Property Tribunal received the guests including personsin charge of intellectual property affairs from 19 KEA members such as Korea Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd and Dongbu Daewoo Electronics. They were shown around the Litigation Service Center and tribunals, etc,watched the feature film (English version) of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and exchanged their views at the symposium. Vice Tribunal Director Ling Song introduced the organization structure, staff composition, case types and work mechanisms of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, with focus on the characteristics of cases involving IPR infringement disputesaccepted and cases concerning information and communication technology trialed by the court since its establishment. KEA delegation expressed thanks for the warm reception and thetwo sides also carried an in-depth discussion on the characteristics of different types of patent litigations, submission of patent evaluation reports, and trials of foreign-related intellectual property cases, etc.
