On the morning of September 28, a delegation of the Institutes of Science and Development, CAS, led by the two research fellows Liu Haibo and Xiao Bing visited the Court to carry out investigations of the work on IP protection measures, typical IP cases and the implementation of China’s IP strategies for the purpose of increasing efforts in the research of IP protection system building. Under the arrangement of SIPC leadership, Ling Song, Deputy Director of the No.1 IP Tribunal, Ling Zongliang, judge of the No.2 IP Tribunal, and other personnel were responsible for the reception work and attended a seminar with the guests. Deputy Tribunal DirectorLing Song welcomed the delegation and introduced to the guests the institutional structure, staff, system construction, typical cases and other information about Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, and highlighted the measures taken by the court in serving and guaranteeing the construction of Shanghai into a scientific and innovation center, and the construction of the city into an international trade center in the context of a national strategy to protect IP rights; he also emphasized the court’s practice and experiences in exploring the building of an investigation mechanism of technical facts and that of a disputes resolving mechanism with multiple means. Research Fellow Liu Haibo extended his gratitude for the hospitability of SIPC and shared information about the construction of a high-end wisdom pool of CAS. He believed that SIPC, as a court at the forefront of building a system of IP right protection, was a good model in institutional construction, case judging rule designing and many other aspects; and that he had had a lot of gains from this investigation in that it had further deepened his understanding of the work of SIPC, and provided important reference for his special topic research.
