Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Shanghai Railway Transportation Intermediate Court) and ShanghaiMaritime Court Held the Communist Youth LeagueExchange Meetingand 2nd English Learning Club Activity On the afternoon of December 8, Communist Youth League Committee of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court, “Sanwei School House” and Communist Youth League Committee of ShanghaiMaritime Court held the communist youth league exchange meeting and 2nd English Learning Club activity, which was attended by Li Shulan, Vice President of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court), Sheng Bin, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee and Deputy Director of Political Department of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court, ZongZhaorui, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee and Director of the Supervisory Office of Shanghai Maritime Court, as well as the members of Communist Youth League Committees and young police officers of the two courts, totaling more than 20 persons. During the activity, the Communist Youth League Committees of the two courts conducted an in-depth exchange on the theme of "Discuss Reform and Development, Promote Exchange and Cooperation", and have achieved initial intent of cooperation on some issues. Sheng Bin, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Shanghai Railway Transportation Intermediate Court), and ZongZhaorui, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of Shanghai Maritime Court, fully affirmed the exchange betweenthe two Communist Youth League Committees and said that both courts have a relatively high proportion of young staff. It's hoped that two courts will, taking the Communist Youth League Committee as a tie, innovate their ways of cooperation and constantly enhance the interactive exchanges between their police officers. In the subsequent English Learning Club activity, two police officers from Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Shanghai Railway Transportation Intermediate Court) introduced the establishment background, characteristic work, reform achievements and development prospectof the court in English with PPT presentations, while three police officers from Shanghai Maritime Court introduced the basic situation of the court and operation mechanism of its Youth Translation Group in English. The police officers present made active interactions and launched anenthusiastic discussion on relevant issues in English. At last, Vice President Li Shulangave a speech in English. She said that Shanghai Maritime Court has accumulated rich experience in professional trial, foreign-related trial and cross-administrative-region trial since its establishment, and the Youth Translation Group has become a calling card of the court. As to Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People's Court (Shanghai Intellectual Property Court), it has carried out fruitful judicial exchanges relying on the International Exchange (Shanghai) Base of Supreme People Court for Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights over the past three years since its establishment, and internationalization has also become a distinctive feature and label of the court. Under the context of the proposal for building an international free trade port and Asia-pacific intellectual property hub in Shanghai, two courts still have a long way to go towards internationalization. It's hoped that young police officers, whilst reinforcing their professional abilities, can persist in learning English, broaden their international horizons, and strengthen the cultivation of professional and international judge teams by diversifying the forms and contents of English Learning Club activity, so as to meet the new requirements for judicial work in the new era.
