On the afternoon of March 14, Office of Judge Chen Huizhen, National Adjudication Expert, conducted a survey on the intellectual property protection and management of biopharmaceutical enterprises in Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Xu Jianmao, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Judge Chen Huizhen and related office mates participated in the survey.

During the event, six representatives from Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. and other five enterprises introduced the status quo and characteristics of their intellectual property work and main practices to handle intellectual property disputes respectively, meanwhile raised doubts and questions encountered in their daily work. They spoke highly of the Office of Judge Chen Huizhen for organizing the observation of live cases and put forward their suggestions on extending the judicial service of the office. Judge Chen Huizhen introduced the main functions of her office and advise the enterprise representatives to do a good job in retrieval before R&D to avoid the risk of infringement; pay attention to the preservation of technical development documentation and improve the rules and regulations on rewards for work-related technological achievements; pay attention to the protection of technical achievements in different ways; and actively preserve relevant evidences by means of notarization, etc.

Deputy Director Xu Jianmao pointed out that this survey was targeted at the intellectual property protection in biopharmaceutical field based on the actual situation of biopharmaceutical enterprises. With the help of Office of Judge Chen Huizhen, Zhangjiang Management Committee will adhere to the problem-orientation, demand-orientation and effect-orientation, and strengthen the intellectual property protection to better meet the expectations of enterprises.
