On the afternoon of September 7, a group of four people, including He Ying, director of the Pudong Intellectual Property Protection Center, went to Shanghai Intellectual Property Court to attend the discussion on further implementing mediation during litigation in intellectual property cases. Presidents Ding Wenlian and Qian Guangwen and judge representatives participated in the discussion. Director He Ying introduced the basic situation, the organizational structure and the personnel of the Center and the People's Mediation Committee for Intellectual Property Disputes in Pudong New Area. She thanked the Intellectual Property Court for its trust in its subordinate mediation organization, and said that the center will give full play to its advantages in professions, data and human resources, and cooperate with the Intellectual Property Court on the entrusted mediation during litigation. President Qian Guangwen introduced the basic situation of the entrusted mediation during litigation in intellectual property cases which had started in March this year, and put forward three suggestions to further promote the entrusted mediation during litigation: first,set up a common target and reach consensus on jointly working on the entrusted mediation during litigation; second, establish an effective connectivity mechanism, arrange for people to do different work, so as toprovide organizational guarantee for the entrusted mediation during litigation; third, improve the initiative at work, strengthen the communication between mediators and judges and assistants of judges, and strengthen collaboration to ensure that entrusted mediation during litigation achieves tangible results. The two sides also reached agreement on matters such as the specific ways of mediation, the mediation timetable, the location of mediation and the mediation personnel. Next, the People's Mediation Committee for Intellectual Property Disputes in Pudong New Area will send its staff to the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court on the entrusted mediation.
