In the afternoon of June 12, a 23-member delegation of Macao Legal Adviser Workshop of China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong visited Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and exchanged opinions.The delegation mainly consisted of leaders and senior technicians in charge of legal matters from such public departments as Directorate of Justice Affairs Services, Correctional Services Bureau and Judiciary Police of Macao Special Administrative Region. Deputy President Li Shulan, Full-time Member of Adjudication Committee Chen Huizhen, Judges of Intellectual Property Court Hu Mi and Yang Wei of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court received the guests. Deputy President Li Shulan welcomed visiting members of the workshop and introduced the basic information about the juridical protection system of intellectual property in mainland China and about Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, as well as initiatives made for strict, equal and efficient protection of intellectual property. Deputy President Li Shulan, full-time committee member Chen Huizhen and Judges Hu Mi and Yang Wei answered in detail the questions that concerned guests in solving intellectual property cases, including the "difficulty to prove", the jurisdiction over cases involving foreign elements, the punitive compensation system and the protection of trade secret. Members of the workshop said that they had further understood the practices in judicial protection of intellectual property in mainland China and been impressed by the initiatives and effectiveness of judicial protection of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and expressed their thanks for the hospitality of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court.
