On the morning of November 3, a seminar for young police cadres to study and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, with a theme of “Marching Ahead with Youthful Dreams, Collaborating to Write a New Page in History”, was held under the organization of the Political Department and the Youth League Committee of Shanghai No.3 Intermediate People’s Court (IP Court & Intermediate Railway Court). Ni Chunnan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the court, and Xi Xuefeng, member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Political Department of the court, attended the seminar and delivered a speech respectively.

At the seminar, Director of the first Youth Model Unit of Shanghai Courts and person-in-charge of the Research Office shared with the young police cadres their experiences and gains during the construction of a Youth Model Unit, and also encouraged them to bravely shoulder responsibilities, make up their mind, and act proactively under the guidance of the spirit of the 19thCPC National Congress and the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism and with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The nine young police cadres from different departments of the court interpreted their understanding of the spirit of the 19thCPC National Congress, by impassionate and infecting speeches under the three themes of “Staying True to Our Original Missions and Following the Footsteps of the Party”, “Making New Achievements by Keeping the Mission in Mind” and “Building a Youthful Chinese Dream Together”. They expressed their love for the motherland, for the organization and for their positions, which fully showed the vitality and determination for progress of the young generation.

As Director Xi emphasized in his speech, General Secretary Xi Jinping had great expectations of the youth of China. To answer the call of the time, it is especially important for young police cadres to keep the missions and dream in their mind, try to be more passionate and vigorous, strive to exude positive energy and be brave enough to make progress and exploration in their work.

Vice President Ni Chunnan put forward three requirements for the young police cadres on behalf the court’s Party Leadership: First, it is necessary for them to conduct in-depth study and have thorough comprehension of the new thoughts and new strategies proposed in the report of the 19th CPC National Congress and keep them in mind. It is also important to fully understand the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism and with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, enhance the “Four Consciousness” and equip the mind, guide the practices and promote the work with the new thoughts in a real sense. Second, it is necessary to seek truth and be pragmatic in real behaviors. Every police cadre shall carry forward the worthy work style of combining theory and practice, closely connecting with the masses and  criticism and self-criticism, implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress in their actions, and build a new image of young police cadres of people’s courts in a new era. Third, it is necessary to have great aspirations and be brave enough to blaze a new trail. Young people shall connect their own dreams with the country’s goal and the fate of the nation to strive ahead in realization of the Chinese Dream.
