OnMay 3-4, Tao Kaiyuan, the vice president of the Supreme People's Court and the second vice chairmanof the World Jurist Association, led a delegation to attend the 2018 annual meeting of World Jurist Association on the theme of intellectual property rights in Munich. Judge Ling Song of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court attended the meeting as a member of the delegation.
At the opening ceremony, Tao Kaiyuan delivered an ebullient speech. During the Chinese session themed as "trademark and intellectual property in China" on the afternoon of May 3, Tao Kaiyuan made a speech entitled "Reform and Development of Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property in China" and made a comprehensive introduction tothe brilliantachievements and the latest progress in China's IPR judicial protection. Other four judges introduced some issues related to IPR protection in China respectively. Judge Ling Song introduced the practice taken by Shanghai Intellectual Property Court to promote the sci-tech innovation and international exchange of IPR judicial protection underthe backgroundof globalization. The speeches of the five Chinese judges in English won a big round ofapplause from the representatives of various countries whose hats were off to the efficiency of Chinese judiciary in particular.
