On the afternoon of May 24, under the arrangements of Shanghai High People's Court, Professor Cheng Deli of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property ("SICIP"), Tongji University led a group of 26 Chinese and foreign students of the "WIPO Program" and "The Belt and Road" Master Program to visit Shanghai Intellectual Property Court for study. The visiting students are mainly intellectual property officials from the countries along "The Belt and Road" and LLM Postgraduates fromTongji SICIP. Head Qian Guangwen and Judge Ling Zongliang of No.2 Intellectual Property Division were appointed to greet the guests. They were shown around the litigation service center and tribunals, and then watched the feature film (English version) of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court. Division Head Qian Guangwen introduced the trial of cases accepted, and explained in detail the court's diversified dispute resolution mechanism, in-depth application of electronic case files, remote trial, "four-in-one" technical fact-finding system and other characteristic mechanisms. The students carried out in-depth exchange with the two judges on the situation of pre-trial and court mediations and the selection and application of four kinds of technical fact-finding methods, etc. The students said that through this visit, they have gained a deeper understanding of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court as well as the judicial protection of intellectual property rights in Shanghai.
